RIM Launches BlackBerry Bold 9780

Research in Motion (RIM) updates the Bold series phones today. In Waterloo, Canada, RIM launches new BlackBerry Bold 9780 variant.

Major changes on this phone is the use of the BlackBerry operating system 6. Thus, the Bold 9780 became the first to use the BlackBerry Bold 6. Previously, the BlackBerry Bold 6 has been used in mobile BlackBerry Torch.

"We are excited to introduce the BlackBerry Bold 9780 featuring the latest BlackBerry operating system 6," said Carlo Chiarello, senior vice president, Product Management Research In Motion.

With BlackBerry 6, RIM provides changes to the interface, WebKit-based browser, and the universal search features. In addition, the Bold 9780 has been using the 5 megapixel camera, higher than the Bold 9700.

The camera on the Bold 9780 strengthened Autofocus, scene modes, image stabilizer, flash, and video recorder. Of 512 Megabytes of internal memory that can be improved with external memory of 32 GB.

BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone will be available through various operators around the world in early November. The price has not been announced.
