Blackberry Applications can be Purchased via Mobile Operators

Blackberry users without a credit card or Paypal account is no longer able to purchase applications from App World electronics store, which is repaid through monthly bills or recharge cards of mobile operators.

Payment through mobile operators made possible after Research In Motion (RIM) launched the Blackberry Payment Service SDK Beta (still in a period of public testing) in the form of Application Programming Interface (API) on the sidelines of the Developer Conference (DevCon) 2010 this weekend.

Tyler Lessard, Vice President of Global Alliance & Developer Relations, explains RIM Blackberry Payment Service allows users to purchase applications or developers in an attempt to gain revenue from applications.
