Nokia to Build Push Mail Server Service in India

Knowing the weaknesses of the BlackBerry service to be blocked, Nokia will set up a server push mail service in India in the near future. Nokia confirmed that service meets the required standards of safety monitoring of the Government of India.

Nokia announcement was delivered on Monday (8/30/2010), or just a day before the deadline set by the Government of India to Research In Motion (RIM) to provide access to key data traffic on the BlackBerry service.

Please note, according to Gartner research data, Nokia is the largest mobile phone market share holders in India today. Nokia Mesaging push mail service has been tested in the country since last year but is still in beta.
