LTE Penetration in the Middle East will Surpass Europe

Countries in the Middle East region, like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates will launch the technology leap to next generation Long Term Evolution (LTE). LTE is estimated penetration in these countries will surpass the countries in Europe.

Pyramid Research predicts penetration of LTE in the region will reach approximately 11.8 percent, while in Europe only approximately 7.7 percent of total mobile internet users.

The growth of data services in the Middle East region continued to increase since last year. In 2009, the number of users of data services increased by approximately 34 percent, while Europe's data services grew only seven percent.
