NSN Demonstrates LTE Call with Commercial Software

LTE Nokia Siemens NetworkNokia Siemens Networks has recently made calls the world's first LTE using a commercial base stations and software standards. The demonstration clearly proved the readiness of the products Nokia Siemens Networks to commercially implemented throughout the world.

Products and network terminals corresponding LTE standard is a prerequisite for the deployment of commercial networks that can benefit from a wide range of terminals made by different vendors. Call Nokia Siemens Networks' LTE is done through the BTS with the software complies fully 3GPP LTE standard Rel.8, and the experiment is close to LTE commercial implementation of behavior in the future.

LTE data call was conducted at the Center for Research & Development Nokia Siemens Networks in Ulm, Germany, with the award-winning innovation and has been tested, namely Flexi Multiradio Base Station.

The first implementation of LTE services are expected to occur at the end of 2009 with the deployment of commercial networks heavily in early 2010. Nokia Siemens Networks is committed to encouraging commercial implementation started in 2010 with a complete solution that provides a path to LTE cost efficient, easy, and tested for future use with a software upgrade only. Today, Nokia Siemens Networks has sent hardware Flexi Base Station is compatible with a LTE to more than 80 operators.
