What is BTS?

You often read in the media, that the X service providers expand their network by adding .... BTS. What is the actual BTS? BTS stands for Base Station transceiver, the transmitter signal of a service. Both CDMA and GSM technology is certainly the device that this BTS.

If customers make calls through its HP, the signal will be received by the nearest BTS, and then will be forwarded to the network above the BSC. Further forwarded to the MSC from the BSC. And MSC to forward the call to the opponent.

The more BTS, its coverage would be good, therefore mobile operators seek to increase the BTS.
